We have always had extremely average experiences with RTC peds. They get the job done as far as well visits. Scheduling is okay. The people who answer phones are a mixed bag, nothing outstanding, a few unhelpful or rude people. Outside of that, if your child is ill, they aren’t very helpful. My husband took my son in Friday morning and after an hour of waiting on tests, they said he did not have the flu (though it’s common knowledge that a test 24 hours after symptoms start can easily be a false negative). When they were done their wait, my 2 year old began to throw up on himself and the NP just handed my husband a paper on how to care for a vomiting child to my husband and walked out. Day Four, he continues to have a fever and be miserable. Tried calling yesterday. Their machine says you can get in touch with a nurse or doctor 60-90 minutes after you call – they waited 3.5 hours and called back after my son had fallen asleep. If you’re a lucky parent whose children manage to stay healthy, this is a good doctor for you. If your child gets sick, especially during busy winter months, don’t expect much.
