Are You Expecting?
Congratulations!
Congratulations! Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in your life.
Choosing the pediatrician that can best care for your child is an important decision.
At Reston Town Center Pediatrics, we share your joy and enthusiasm and look forward to partnering with you on this exciting journey.
What To Bring
- Any paperwork from the hospital, including hearing screen results and immunization records.
- Any available insurance information (often only the parent’s insurance is available at the first visit).
- Plenty of diapers and an extra set of clothes.
- Completed new patient forms prior to the visit to help make the appointment as smooth as possible.

Getting Acquainted
We want to meet you! Please join us for one of our prenatal classes, where we cover what you need to know for the first few months of parenthood, including what to expect at the hospital and how to care for a newborn. These classes are held in our office, and we offer a virtual option once a month.
Join us as we tell you what makes RTC Pediatrics different from other pediatric practices, how our office works, and answer many of the questions you may have. We will also verify that we accept your insurance. This 60-75 minute class will leave you feeling more confident and prepared for your new addition. Registration to sign up for a Prenatal Class (link).
Upon Delivery
When you go to the hospital in labor, simply tell your obstetrician and the hospital staff that you have chosen RTC Pediatrics as your child’s pediatrician.
Please contact our office upon discharge to schedule your baby’s first visit. The hospital staff will give you a copy of the baby’s discharge paperwork; bring it with you to the first visit and we will have everything we need to know about your baby’s first few days.
Lactation Services
With its many benefits for babies, breast milk is recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics as the Gold Standard for infant nutrition. Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants are available to help you and your newborn accomplish comfortable feedings. We also offer follow-up office visits or phone consults as needed.
